Hello, a friend of mine has been trying without success to install AVG anti-spyware on her Vista pc. I have it on my XP without any problems but although it downloads on Vista - and states beforehand that it is compatible - it won't run, it comes up with an error window saying that Windows cannot run it.

Does anyone with Vista have this successfully on their pc?? We have been trying to download it from http://www.ewido.net/en - any help would be very much appreciated please.

Select the executable file, right click to bring up properties. You should be able to force Vista to run the file using the compatiblity option.

As on today 19 May/07 AVG Anti-Spyware is not Vista Compatible. This is listed on the public Forums on the grisoft web site. The beta version for Vista was supposed to be ready mid April, and I saw an article in a UK magazine which said the paid version should be done by now.

You will eventually be able to get it from www.free.grisoft.com (of course the paid version will be made available first.)
