The simple rule in flirting is as long as both parties involved enjoy the flirting and it doesn't hurt any third party, it is absolutely wonderful to keep on doing it. Problem arises, when it becomes serious. Either party wants to move on to the next level and it is a one sided desire. Another problem is if either party is already in a relationship and their partner comes to know about it. If either of the above scenario does not apply in your case, carry on flirting and enjoy while it lasts.
