I feel aside from party blindness, Americans will vote for the candidate that best proves HIMSELF that HE will protect them and their way of life.

No sadly people have not wised up.
Anyone who voted for Bush based on the reason he looks like a regular guy they could go have a beer with makes me wish their was an IQ test before you are allowed to vote. The thought of people like that having a say in anything is frightening.

I want the President to be someone I can 'have a beer with' [( even though I don't/can't drink... )] as well as someone who knows what he or she is doing when it comes to running our country.

Some have said, "We are a reflection of our leaders." If that is true, then God, Buddha, Allah, freakin' somebody help us!!!
A leader walks among us, but we're not sure who it is.
Try not to grow too old. The older you get, the more sh*t you see unfold.

Not really, they are already getting caught up in their individual party's hype and rhetoric and ignoring the facts. They forget it is not always about being right, more often it is about doing the right thing.

Man, I hope so. Of course, I wouldn't want to have a beer with the current one. I enjoy intellectual conversation.
