Both! In a queue I get annoyed if the person behind bumps into me and won't move back again. But with friends I am very tactile.

No just my personal freedom... I'm very tactile and love invading the personal space of others....
Only try this if you have charm by the bucket loads though...
Actually no one minds you invading their space if they like you ....
it just depends on what space you're invading and why.. ;-)
and most importantly ...when
Dr bad
Space Invader ...
ps. good question... keep up the fight

I don't particularly like somebody invading my personal space - ie somebody touching the food I'm about to eat, and I do enjoy my own space to recoup and not let anybody in..

Keep away. My ex sister in law came to hug me one time and she got my hand in her ribs. "I shake hands, I don't hug."
One of my colleagues forgot herself when we left work one day and ..... linked me (uuuughghghghgh). I literally jumped three feet away from her in horror. I did apologise because she was the type to take that to heart.
The only people I link (or linked) are my clients or my parents when they need my support to walk without falling over.
The ONLY people I hug are some of my clients, it's part of their care and therefore part of my job, like wiping their bottoms ... I 'enjoy' that bit more than I enjoy getting hugged and kissed by them.
I last gave my sister a kiss about 20 years ago, on her birthday, mainly to make her cringe. About the same time (give or take six months since sister's birthday is in the summer) was the last time my brother gave me a kiss, it was Christmas Day. I gave him such a withering look that he's never done it again.

I'm very protective of my personal space, when someone gets too close I become extremely uncomfortable.

Yes, I like my space. I have been accused of being standoffish. But then I'm generally quite quiet.

I love personal space, but I am a good share-er when I like the person who is invading it.
