I do not agree that the terrorists should have been handled in the manner that they currently are but I do support the troops in Iraq and I also hope that they come home soon... why is that a problem?

i am a military spouse i get so mad at people that say that to me. people think that a soliders are about going to a war zone that there like minded blah blah. that solider has to leave there family to go fight do you think there all happy about going to war but they are happy to serve there country.

many believe there are no grey areas in politics but its politics its meant for grey areas and i live right in the grey of it all. People dont understand that war is alwayse a terrible thing no one is happy about having to kill another but the troops that are out there fighting for us need to be respected and cheered on. Even if people dont like what this war stands for someone has got to do the job and that person that has to go days without sleep and hot food unlike us still deserves respect.

ask a military family member do they stand behind there solider and give them the most respect they deserve and they will answer you with yes and completely. but they want there soliders to come home too. so you can suport the troops but not the war.

The republicans use that line. It's propaganda to make anyone who doesn't agree with their agenda look bad! And also they can slam Democrats by saying we don't support the troops because we are"Liberals". I don't know when liberal became a 4 letter word. I am a Democrat, I am a liberal and I don't support the war. But I will always support the troops. How does a person support the troops anyway? By saying "Go get 'em guy's" And then keep sending them back even when their original tour is up? In my opinion, the way to support the troops is to bring them home alive! So you keep saying what you feel is right and ignore the people who put you down for it. They don't know what they are talking about!

Because it's easier to just call you unpatriotic then to actually debate why you don't support the war. The right is very good at using name calling and diverting issues so that they're never discussed.

You dislike the war for many valid reason, as do most of us. Instead of debating these reasons(because there isn't much to debate), the cons and their clans of right wing wackos will just accuse you of not supporting the troops, thus avoiding the real topic at hand - the unjust, illegal war based on lies and false intelligence.

As Jeffrey Ross said: "I'm for the war, but I'm against the troops."

You can't support the troops and not support the war. The press plays up you people who don't support the war (actually it is a Police Action) and the Rag Heads watch the news. They understand that the negitive anti war people are pushing to end the war-this makes them continue to fight! It worked in Vietnam and we haven't learned from history! You help kill someone when you back the anti-war libs! Right or wrong-this is fact. We saw it with Hanoi Jane!!! USMC 60-68

You cannot support the troops without supporting the war because they hear and read what is said here in the USA and because they do their Spirit loses their morale and they are not as sharp on the job assigned to and that they trained for they are not at the top of their game and thus are more likely to get killed. So we must Support them to the hilt to total victory nothing short of that.

you just have to understand that 95 5 of the solders there do believe in what they do there so its interpreted by them and like minded people that if u don't support there cause how can u support them. I think its better stated for u to say you with them well and to come home safe, but don't support the war itself.

Because they are stupid. And that's what happens when stupid people have a right to speak: stupid words come out of their mouthes. It doesn't mean you have to listen. After all, you're smarter than them. And if you listen to the stupid things coming out of stupid people's mouthes, you'll become stupid, just like them. And you don't want that.

That would be stupid.

These corporate deluded robots who repeat the same crap over and over.

By the way, I want the troops to support me, not the other way around!!! That is why I pay their salaries.

So you can't support hunting them down and either killing them or imprisoning them...even when they're dedicated to killing us?
