I had a 5 gallon gas container in the back of my truck and it rained the other day and i'm assuming a little bit of rain fell into the container. without thinking i put all of that gas in my truck. nothing has happened so far but a friend of mine said just make sure i keep my trucks gas tank full and that way the water won't ever reach the fuel lines.

just go to auto zone and get some evaporater and put it in your tank that will take care of the water.

your friend is correct... the water and gas are going to be seperate in your tank.. water on bottom. Use some evaporator and if you can get a siphon tube in your tank and make sure you get it all the way in and siphon out that water. Now depending exactly how much water is in it you may be fine.
If your really really worried (I wouldn't be too worried) just go ahead and drain your tank.

If there is a lot of water, the engine could hydrolock. but if its just a small container with rain water contaminatinig it, it should be fine.
