It does sound like menopause, she should see her gyn to check, I am sure that they have tests they can do to check hormone levels or similar. My Mom went through it at that age a few years ago. The anxiety and heart racing just might be stress induced - but see a doctor to make sure. That is also the age that women need to worry about cardiovascular health as well.

Definitely go to your doctor - NOW. Are you old enough to be menopausal or could there be another problem? As for retaining fluid, I've never heard that hot flashes caused that. You're gambling with your long-term health to avoid going to the doctor (ob-gyn).

You should consult with your Dr, before you do anything. But black cohosh root is very good for hot flashes, nightsweets and mood swings. I myself take it and it takes several days to get into your system, but you can tell the differance in several days. Taking this i don't have night sweets, and hot flashes, and it sure helps with the mood swings also. Goo luck, but please talk it over with your Dr.

You need to talk to a physician before you take ANY medication, including herbal and over the counter products. Herbal medications have an extremely high risk of interfering with other medications you may possibly be taking. Please speak to your dr about this.

Night sweats, being irritable and having no patience. Either a high sex drive or none at all.

Go to the Doctor and ask them what you should do. Because they've delt with this, through many of their patients.

If you have a hormone imbalance, drinking tea may not do the trick.
