I loved her kind heart,her words,her huggs,her kisses.
I can remember before she died few days.
we almost knew she was dying, she was weak and refused to eat.
I went to her just few days before her death and brought some buiscits and made her eat from my hands.and she ate after they were trying to make her eat.
while she was laying on the bed,I was looking at her face and she was looking at me but I didn't know if she was really conscious or just looking like that.
and suddenly she smilled peacfully at me.I don't know why but I just copied this smile in my head and said that this will be the last time I see her face.and she died few days after.
till now I can never forget this image at all.
once I remember her,all I remember is this smilling face of fan angel.
anytime I remember the scene I cry.and actually I'm crying now.....
just wanted to talk and express some of my feelings.
anyone had similar story???

I'm definitely envious, you're lucky to be left with such a good memory, and since the grieving process probably started before she died (I'm assuming you knew of her failing health), and it feels like it Will never end, it will in a way. You'll never forget her, but you're life will go on and it will get easier. She will always be in your thoughts (say, you see or smell something that reminds you of her) but I won't consume you like it probably is now. My mother was murdered in 2002, and I still feel guilty for not returning a phone call the day before she died. I've got a horrible picture in my mind (I'm not going to say how she was killed) I think I cried for 4 months (on a daily basis) but I finally decided that it wasn't going to ruin my life, too. I still feel guilty, but I keep busy and focus on the things I know would make her happy. It's still hard for me to look at pictures without my eyes filling with tears. I don't know how much help I was, but I want you to know you're very lucky

I'm very sorry for your loss. With time the pain will pass, and you'll be left with the pleasant memory of your grandmother's smile. Believe me, the last thing you want to do is forget! Remember that there are lots of people in this world with no smiling grandmas to remember -- too many people don't share kind words, huggs and kisses. Your memory will be a blessing in time.

for me it's more like i can't remember at all. of course mine was a very traumatizing experience. i was hit by a truck and had my foot run over. the first two nights i just kept seeing it happen over and over again and all my boyfriend can remember is the sound of it all. now a week later i can't remember anything about the accident except that i was hit by a white dodge truck and where. i'm scared that before long i won't even remember that. because everytime i walk across that cross-walk i'm terrified and if i forget why i think it will just make it worse.

be glad and feel blessed that you remember her in her best. remember that no matter what may have been going on, the last memory you have of her is her smile and the love and joy on her face at seeing you. and that where ever she is she always has you in her heart. and i'm sure that she will always remember that wonderful thing you did for her when you tried to get her to eat. that small gesture means a lot. hold on to those memories. they'll keep you strong.

Yes. I am sorry to hear about your loss of the association with your Grandma. The thing is we have to know what to do at the time of death. It is the most important moment of our lives. Why? Because our thoughts at the moment of death are what determines our next existence. What ever we think of we will attain. If one thinks of God at the time of death only then will they attain the Kingdom of God. Otherwise if we think of so many things we will come back to this material world. This is a described in the Bhagavad Gita a(Song of God) I highly recommend it to everyone who is going to die (that would be everyone. So They can attain the highest goal of life. go to harekrishnatemple.com Bhagavad Gita as it is By BHaktivedanta PRabhupada- tells the purpose of human life and how to die properly. everyone doesn't go to heaven just by believing we have to follow the process.

I know someone who visited their grandma 2 HOURS before she died.
Never forget your grandma. The more you think about the good times you had with her, the better you'll feel. In time you'll be able to talk bout your grandma without crying. Exprssing feelings over the computer is one thing. talk to a cousin or family who loved your grandma as much as you. you can share storries about her. Your grandma really loved your. Don't forget her.

Yes. My Mother...my best friend. It has been 4 years and hurts like it was yesterday. That smile was telling you how much she loved you. You should remember it fondly.
