Mets. While both teams have killer line-ups when they are in full swing, the Yankees' line is currently struggling. Add to that the Yankees' rotation is currently highly suspect and we wont even get started on their bullpen. Mets pitching staff is currently doing very well and is one of the best in baseball. Id give the first round of the series to the Mets especially given the starting pitchers: Petite v. Perez; Rasner v. Glavine; and TBA v. Maine.
But then again all that goes out the window when the Mets and Yankees meet up.

I think the Mets will take 2 of 3.
Normally, I would call for a Yankees sweep, but their pitching has been horrible, and their bats have been inconsistent.
The Mets are hitting well right now, and they have 3 solid pitchers going against the Yanks in Perez, Maine, and Glavine.
I would venture to say that the Mets would sweep the series, but you can never count the Yankees out. They are going to heat up at some point.

HMMMMM. I'm going to go with the team that has pitching. Offense is good, but what good is it when you give up 6 runs a game. I don't care how good you are Offensively if you have no pitching you're screwed. Another thing is the Yankees are slumping and A-Rod is carrying the team. A-Rod is not a Met killer so he will be contained. Only way they will win if somehow they can acquire Ryan Howard and Chipper Jones for the weekend and bring back Ron Guidry and revive Cy Young to pitch 23 innings.

The way the season has been going for the Yankees I would say they will win 1 and lose the other 2.

The Mets look very good this year.
The Yankees would probably have trouble beating my 10 year old brother's pee-wee little league team.
Money doesn't buy success it only adds pressure.
GO Boston !!
Down with the Yankees... keep on losing ... You are making my year that much better !

Mets will roll, Yanks will bomb, Mets will take at least 2. To quote a famous former Yankee catcher, "Good pitching beats good hitting and vice versa."
