I just bought a new moen kitchen faucet, no kinks in the lines, and i checked the aerator. I disconnected the lines to check the pressure from the lines, it is strong at that point which leads me to think it is the faucet or something getting caught in the faucet and restricting flow, but what, and what can i do. The previous faucet had low flow as well. All of the other faucets in the house have good pressure. I found a few specks of rust in the aerator of both new and old faucets. Is there an internal screen in the faucet itself that i can clean? It is a real pain to wash dishes. Need help ASAP.

Sometimes there is a restrictor in the faucet. Its usually black in color, a lot of the new faucets are up to code and they are water conservative. If all else failes pull the screen from the faucet head.

Did you look for the restrictor in the faucet: you didn't mention this. It's a small disc like object just behind the aerator in back of the screen. Undo the screen and you'll see a small black or whit disc, sometimes you'll have to drill it out. I did on my Moen.

If you reused the lines from the supply to the faucet, you may have mineral buildup in those lines. Try replacing the lines.

It could be that the faucet is defective. I did find one that was filled with sand from the original casting. (I must have installed hundreds of them) Call the help number that is in your installation instructions.

You should have strong flow with the arator removed.
