I'm 16 and I haven't worn shorts in 4 effing years because of these terrible stretch marks on the backs of my shins. I was 170 at my heaviest and am 140 now, but they're ruining my life. I hate to see other girls in shorts and skirts, while I'm hiden under long pants. Actually, I have stretch marks everywhere, but these are the ones that are bugging me. They're light in colour and thin, but there are tons, seriously, they're very noticeable and I'm like the only girl in my school of a thousand ppl who had them, even the really fat ones. Please help me, they're screwing me right up, I'll die if I have to spend the rest of my life with them!!!!

Stretch marks don't go away. However, if you purchase Palmers cocobutter lotion for stretchmarks, it will help ease the appearance of them.
Don't be too embarrassed about them, virtually every person has them, and if you let it rule your life, you'll never be happy.
I'm pretty sure that if you get a tan, it does limit the appearance of them also.
Anyway, gain some confidence, because if you don't have any, no one will be interested in talking to you if you only have a negative view on yourself.
Hang in there! You're not the only one.

time to grow up honey and accept who you are. stretch marks are scars and as such, you are stuck with them. If you use cocoa butter on them daily, they will not get any worse, and with time will fade. Avoid tanning, the skin tans, scars don't so use a leg makeup with sunblock in it. You can wear shorts and skirts if you use leg makeup, or wear stockings. You need to be a whole lot less concerned with how you look, and a whole lot more concerned with what kind of person you are now and who you want to be when you do grow up.

I have them on my back and my thighs. I have noticed that they fade a little when I have a tan. At least, they seem to be less noticeable. You could always do the sunless thing. There might be a prescription potion or something. See your doctor. Or, check the pharmacy.

They have lotion that might help a bit but live with it. You could try makeup to cover it but they probably wont go away. I have scars you just have to learn to deel with them . Be comfy in your own skin.
