† The Star Spangled Bible †
Oh, say can you see, by the dawn's early light
How our country, once proud, has the whole planet hooting?
Our kids die in false wars, our economy bites,
But who cares about that, 'cuz we love persecuting.
So the church leaders bitched, civil rights we have ditched,
We'll bend over for Bush so long as fags can't get hitched
O say, does that star-spangled Bible yet thump
O'er the land of the freak and the home of the chump?

Wow! Look you right wing nut jobs attempting to justify the war.
INFOBROKERNATE: Since Saddam killed people to stay in power, that some how means Bush is fighting for MY rights? I didn't realize any of my rights were at risk. It seems that we've lost rights since the war began......hmmmm how weird and hypocritical of you.
WINGSHOOTER08: 1. Over 50% of the country did not put Bush in office. He lost the popular vote and rigged votes out of his brothers state of Florida. How convenient.
2. The war was based on lies and false intelligence. Look at you trying to justify the war knowing it was based on lies and has turned out be a huge mistake.
3. If you don't think oil was a huge factor, then you don't listen to the president. He has said that the region in Iraq is crucial due to our interest in the oil reserves. If we didn't care about oil then we would be invading and overtaking all the other dictators, some of whom are as bad or worse than Saddam, of countries that are NOT sitting on oil. This whole war is transparent. It's just you and the other 28% of this country that still believe the lies. Honestly, you're embarrassing yourself every time you make the outrageous claims about the war.
ANDY C: Your response SCREAMS!!!!!! stupidity. Talk about people believing only what the see and read. There is a reason only 28% of the country still supports the war - it's because people are smartening up. You can only believe the lies so long. Let me guess, you believed in Santa Claus well into your teen years, right? Or do you still believe in him? Better behave or the Iraqis might take away your freedom!!!

Maybe they object to a despot that was responsible for at least 2 million dead folks, gassed his own people, invaded Kuwait for, guess what, the oil, systematically tortured and killed folks there until he was tossed out by, who else, the United States, paid suicide bomber families 25,000 a pop for killing innocents on public buses, thumbed his nose at 17 separate U.N. resolutions, attempted to assassinate a former president of your own country, violated the surrender terms of the Kuwait conflict hundreds of times, had his sons systematically torture and rape his citizens whenever the whim arose etc etc etc........Take your pick. Of course now that we have the Dems and the insurgency on the same page, what now Doc? Being at odds with your own country in favor of a pack of blood thirsty thugs who spew vitriolic venom that passes for love of God has got to be the greatest irony in a country that espouses freedom and liberty. What a proud bunch we must be.

1. Evangelicals didn't put Bush into office, unless You think that over 50% of this country fall in that category (and they don'tmoron)
2. This war was of choice by the world coalition and sanctioned by our congress and some 60 country's, after 17 resoliution by the Useless UN.
3. Oil has nothng to do with this war and never has, but nice of you to throw out the left wing nut buzz phrase, but if you do believe that, then you are even more stupid than that left wing nut base!

I can't believe the double back flip high off the dive stupidity of this question. it's so misguided on so many levels it's depressing. Too many people will believe anything they see or hear without applying any common sense. The dems ring the bell and the dogs start salivating.
