What is with all this hate-love hype surrounding Kobe?

Because the media (except Nancy Grace) is in love with this guy. Who cares about his amazing 81 points when the Lakers won by 40?!? Why didn't Kobe just passed the ball! Kobe need to get his teammates involved in victory not just defeat. Kobe does pass, but only when the team is losing. I used to love the Lakers until Kobe came along. I hated him before the rape charges because of the over hype with Kobe being the best, when Shaq got them their 3 rings. Shaq was the best, not Kobe. Kobe is full of himself.

What up Lakers and Raiders each of ways, i'm going to continuously have an excellent know for Kobe's basketball skills and how stressful the guy works at his sport. yet via fact the old asserting is going in case you're no longer with us, then you definitely're against us. So Kobe being traded to a different team could garner some pastime in that different team-- surprisingly in line with which team that's. yet i advance right into a Laker fan long in the past Kobe advance right into a Laker. and could be one long after he retires (as a Laker or somebody else). Lakers for all times!!! individually i could desire to care much less what number factors Kobe scores- as long via fact the Lakers win jewelry! yet i could desire to confess that each 3 hundred and sixty 5 days he pulls off some surprising stuff and the guy is barely one heck of a ball participant... flow Lakers in '09. I simply don'tl ike the comparisons to MJ. Listen everybody, do you think Kobe even likes the comparisons to MJ? He works hard to master his game, and I believe he made huge strides this year trying to become an all around team player, but he can't escape the shadow cast forth from Michael Jordan. How do you all think he feels always having to live in the shadow of someone that he can never, NEVER, be as good as? Many people call MJ the greatest ever (I'm not one of them by the way) and realistically Kobe will never be for the NBA what MJ was, yet no matter how hard he tries, no matter what he does, his game and him as a player are always compared to MJ. I really, truly fear that we may be forced to watch him have a nervous breakdown someday because of the huge amounts of pressure put on him by the media and his "adoring" fans.

You have to watch Southpark episode 807. This explains that the police and society in general is out to get wealthy black men.

Kobe had success very early in his basketball career and people grew to dislike him very quickly. After the Colorado case people were then given an excuse to hate on him.

I love basketball and I love to see him play. He is the greatest in this generation and it looks like he has a few more years in this prime.

When Kobe posted 81 it was a very close game that Kobe helped the Lakers pull away from. Kobe had the opportunity to even to better then that when the scored 62 points against Dallas in just three quarters... he did not play the fourth.

Let keep it real baby, that one guy was right, this shi* is all about the Colorado thing & Shaquille.

As far as Shaq, people want to believe that Kobe ran him out of Los Angeles, even though Shaq asked to be traded. Shaq is also good at taking cheap shoots at Kobe, and attaking his character without appearing to do so.

As far as Colorado goes, it aint about that girl, the world and NBA dont talk about that ho! Thats also about Shaq! When Kobe made that statement, " I should have just payed for it like (who'd he say?...............Oh yea! thanks!) Shaq does!" He F**ked up big time. Even though it was just a harmless statement, to many narrowminded people that was considered snitching on Shaq. That is something people have had a hard time dealing with and letting go of. It's always "yea but what he said about Shaq was F**KED up man!" Why he snitch on Shaq like that. I dont recal any investigation taking place on weather or not Shaq was cheating on his wife or not, so how was that snitching, is anyone naive enough to think that tha one under the breath comment was going to do anything to cause a problem for Shaq. Thats just the PUNK AS*, BITC* AS* people out there lookin for a reason to hate.!

DO YA THUG THIZZLE KOBE AND SCREW EM ALL!

A lot of people don't like Kobe because when he first came on to the scene, he was very cocky and arrogant. I think a lot of people still feel the sting of what he might have done to their team (I'm a 76ers fan, and he is hated in Philly by a lot of people because of the 2001 playoffs). When he comes to town, he's an opponent just like the rest of the team, but I always keep it real when it comes to players, and I think he is a great player and I love to watch him.

I love no athelete, but hate him, no way!

He is the best player in the league, but the league keeps holding that Colorado incident against him.

What more does he have to do to prove he is the best. He is no more of a ball hogg then Jordan when he came into the league. Also, if you play with a group of guys that can't or don't make their shots, then someone needs to step up and he does.
