What makes an egg break is shear stress on the shell. You can reduce shear stress by making sure the impact force is distributed widely over the shell.

If something sturdy and solid holds the egg snugly, and won't distort from impact enough to break the egg, that might do it.

Maybe use two blocks of wood, and make them fasten together, and make a hollow between them, the exact shape of the egg, such that it fits snugly when you fasten them together.

If that doesn't work, you could try making some egg drop soup with the remains.

here is a good way to blow your teacher's mind...
Take your egg.. yes a regular old egg and stand on a grassy area.. make sure no rocks or stones and just throw your egg in a very high arch (straight up if you want) .... throw it up as hard as you can. Your egg will not break when it lands... It works!
If your egg broke it is because it landed on an uneven surface or hit a stone. I made 75$ by betting my uncle i could throw a raw egg over his house and it wouldn't break when it landed on the ground.
