ellen came out and she rose in popularity....rosie came out and she lost her show...what's up with that?

i guess i can see where these people come from. i agree. i do prefer ellen over rosie based on personality. i think ellen is warm and likeable, and she doesn't push anyone's buttons. rosie will speak her mind, and i respect her for that. but to a certain extent, i'd prefer to watch ellen. although, i do not hate rosie.

I would have to agree with everyone else's answer. Rosie is just cold hearted and feels that she needs to add her opinion to anything that is going on in the world. Ellen, is just a light hearted person that is out to do good and make people happy. Rosie needs to go back into retirement and leave us all alone. I prefer Ellen any day over Rosie.

The first answerer said it right. Rosie is a depressed, angry, byatch. Ellen is fun and funny. Also, Ellen can't hide her sex appeal under all those bulky clothes. Rosie never had much sex appeal, but you've got to give her credit for rising to the top of the game in a very unforgiving business. Rosie definitely has her own fan base. Let's face it, most women in entertainment are in the business to sell sex appeal. Rosie's best effort to do that was as a dominatrix in some cheesy B-movie. She's like Roseanne Barr with a mean spirit.

Ellen also lost her sitcom when she came out. People treated her very badly. She made a comeback. Ellen is fair and generous and doesn't make fun of people or criticize our country and everyone in it. Rosie talks too much without thinking first.

I think that it is a result of the people involved and not their orientation. Ellen is genial and open. Rosie is opinionated and domineering.

It has nothing to do with their sexuality or them coming out.
Ellen is funny and just has an all-around great personality, you can tell she is fun, easy to get along with and would probably be a really good friend.
Rosie is a mean-spirited, vile b***h.
