Mine is a toss up between House of a Thousand Corpses or Wolfcreek.

I read on wikipedia that Wolf Creek was based on a number of different serial killers in Australia's recent history - whose acts were actually worse than any scene in the movie.

when 28 days later came out, i think that one disturbed me the most. it wasn't the special effects or anything of that nature that kept me up at night. it was the thought that what if this really eventually happens to the human race? can scientists really make a virus that makes the human mind go blank and just want to kill? just wondering about if scientists really have something of that nature is what bothered me and kept me up at night.

There is a movie made by some French new wave artists in the the 1920's- a sixteen-minute surrealist film made in France in 1929 by writer/directors Luis Buñuel and Salvador Dalí. It's apparently as bizarre as Dali's paintings. The opening scene, which is about all I've seen in excerpt, cuts back and forth between a cloud going across the moon and a razor blade slicing into a human eyball. Just writing about it gives me the creeps.

The second most disturbing was a documentary, "The Brown and Tan"(?) about the squads that ran the Nazi death camps, was about the only movie I saw that made me almost want to vomit. It's one thing to see "movie violence", it's another to see a documetary where you see actual (thin starved, naked) corpses by the truckload being carried around and bulldozed into mass graves; piles of severed heads waiting for the squads that came to rip out the gold from their teeth fillings. Mounds of shoes, jewelry, and clothes collected from people sent to their death... All this was carefully filmed and photographed by the Nazis themselves.
