Just wondering about how the U.S. government controls us, and the ways that they do it. Other countries examples are okay. Please, no smartass remarks. Thank you!

Media blackouts like the ones in Iraq and Afganistan. State run media propaganda and disnformation. Allowing the influx of immigrants to lower wages. Forced innculations. Forced abortions. Geonocide. Peretual war. Taxes. Allowing the influx or importation of narcotics. Indoctrination of our children. Religion.

Really I could go on and on. Read 1984.

You're probably going to think this is a smartass remark, but, in the US, the media probably has more influence on the people than the government.

The government, of course, maintains control, ultimately, like every government, through the threat of force via law enforcement and the military.

Promises made but not kept. Manipulation, Dividing the people, class warfare, Tell the people what they want to hear, Controlling the media through fear and intimidation, harassment etc..
