Personally I only star if its something I want to go back to, to look at other peoples answers.

Starring a question is promoting it toward ur friends & contacts.
Peoples who joined me as friend r mostly teens & childrens. Even if their questions may not be powerful enough for me..... i try to star their every question for promotion.
They loves & enjoys their stars embeded questions, and thereby gain ENCOURAGEMENT, on their act of developing their questioning skills and knowledges, as it helps them to gain SELF-CONFIDENCEs.
Starring a star for a question, for the encouragement of those growing youngsters/childrens, i believe, one have nothing to lose... except some hours.
Furthermore, i have to stay away from starring questions asked in adults styles by adults, even if they r my closest friends. if i do so, there r 70% chances of that question being violated as ABUSE, as i have got some invisible "guardian angles" i never know who.... lol

I often star questions that I think raise a good point, including some that I think highlight an important issue, regardless of whether I agree with the questioners opinion or not.
Also, I like to star funny and witty questions.
Like you, I sometimes star q's so that I can go back to them later if I don't have time to answer at that moment.

I have a decent limit, so i just star when i think about it or answer a question.. I dont even answer the question to star it!

I like to star them if they make me laugh and they'll be some fun answers. And for people that write very interesting ones too, or something I'd like to know.
