tanx = sinx / cosx

so
sinx / cosx * cosx = sinx

Use the quotient identity for tan x: tan x = (sin x)/(cos x)
tan x cos x = sin x
(sin x)/(cos x) cos x = sin x
Now cancel the cosines.
sin x = sin x
