Glad to say hands on!!!!!!!! That is how you learn something fast. Yes you will make mistakes and not be as fast at first but then when you know your stuff, well all I can say is move over coming through. Manager's who have good hands on type of people working for them have an easier job. That is unless they are micro managers.

I'm actually in a supervisory position, but I have to be hands on for part of the day, or I'll go crazy. I detest sitting at my desk which is why my projects aren't finished...

Depends on the task... for the most part, I like to be hands on...but in some situations; the supervisor role is not so bad.
