i work in a factory and alot of people there have tons of piercings, and i know jobs like telemarketing don't really care cuz you can't be seen. and if your not too extreme with your piercings they have clear plugs you can put in and hardly notice them so in some cases you can actually get a good job, but its hard to be viewed as a professional

Some places want people that can present them selfs professionally, and having face piercing would take that away from the company! It just depends on what enviroment you are trying to work in really! That is cool you have a job though!

Currently, I am a general manager for a distributor, but did teach for 10 years prior to my career change. It has never been a problem for me. My students (and their parents) either didn't care or were fascinated.
This is the same attitude that I encounter in most situations. The again, I live in San Francisco and most people find us "odd" anyway.

a cheap way to deal with it is to take out the jewelry and put fishing line in instead for the day, but if the place where you work doesn't mind facial piercings, then don't do anything.

Thank goodness society has lightened up on tattoos and piercings. I do know some friends in retail that have to remove jewelry while at work.

my jobs have always allowed them. my friends that have piercings and they aren't allowed, they either put one in so small it's not noticeable, or wear clear or flesh colored-close to the skin jewelry.
