I was just playing a gamecube game and I put it back to the wii menu and it's not recognizing the remote.

Open your battery cover and there should be a reset button. :)

That happens to me every once in a while. Turn the wii off and unplug it and then plug it back in. It should work unless there's something wrong with the remote.

Try putting new batteries in the remote. They might be out of power.

okay maybe try putting in new batteries or opening battery cover and pressing reset button or maybe the sensor is not reading the remote
