It depends on how pregnant you are. Early in pregnancy you can only take Tylenol. Cold medicines don't work, as for an allergy medicine like Benadryl, you should wait if you can. To clear the stuffy nose, try letting the shower run hot and sitting in the bathroom for the steam to help open the sinuses. I know that saline drops for the nose are safe. Ask a neighbor if you can borrow their phone for a minute and call the doctor. On your next visit, get an email address etc. Best wishes, and good luck.

You poor thing... getting sick during pregnancy is the worst! Been there, done that!
Depending on how far into your pregnancy you are, there are certain medications you can take for allergies/congestion. I would recommend that you talk to your friendly local pharmacist - they will know what is available for you to take.
You can do saline drops up your nose (I hated it and threw up), or I would recommend good old Vicks Vaporub slathered all over your torso and the bottom of your feet.
I hope that helps!
Wishing you a happy and healthy pregnancy!

take a warm shower or bath and stay in there for as long as you can so the steam can open up your cloged nose after you do that rub vicks on your chest and also on your nostrils that will sooth you and will help your nose unclog and its 100% safe for you and the little one.
Congrats on your future baby

It has changed so much..they are always finding out that something that is currently okay turns out to Not be okay. I would go the drug store and just ask the pharmacist what is safe to take. In my day, sudafed was okay but who knows anymore since they have recently changed all the formulas and empty the shelves due to formulas in cough meds.

According to the info provided by my health care provider, for head/chest cold it says: "rest and drink plenty of water. Use a humidifier. If you need medication, you may take acetaminophen for aches and fever, Afrin or Chlor-Trimeton for nasal congestion, or Benadryl tablets." Good luck.

I have been taking Benadryl for my allergies. But I didn't ask the doctor if it's okay. So... maybe go to the pharmacy.
