Blockbuster sucks. Netflix is MUCH better.
Remember the company that screwed you out of so much in late fees? It was Blockbuster. They practically invented the late fee. 40%+ of their revenues came from late fees. Why? Because after they drove all the mom and pops out of business (many that acually had *good* movies) they had a monopoly and could charge anything they wanted.
Then the market was ripe for competition so Netflix stepped in with the internet-based DVD rental program. They capitalized on what Blockbuster was doing wrong. All of a sudden Blockbuster starts copying Netflix and saying they have eliminated late fees (as if it was their idea).
Blockbuster has repeatedly demonstrated that they are willing to milk their customers as much as possible at every opportunity.
Netflix is fun and easy. It's user-friendly. They have very quick turn-around and a selection of EVERY DVD currently available (20,000+). I have never had to wait for a DVD. If it's on DVD Netflix has it. They are also cheaper and offer a the flexibility of many different rental programs.
I sound like I work for Netflix, but I swear I don't. I just love movies and had a lot of frustration in dealing with Blockbuster's monopoly for so many years. Check it out. I promise you won't regret it.
On the other hand, if all you want is the latest MEGA-HIT churned out of Hollywood then stick with Blockbuster. They excel at providing drivel for the masses.

quit asking questions and do it
www.blockbuster.com for a free trial. If yo watch a lot of movies the (3 at a time) plan is well worth it. You can get probably 40 new release rentals a week if you go often (for only 20.00 after tax that is very cheap!
