XFX Nvidia Geforce 8800 GTS , this has 128 shader units and is right now the best, but you need $320 to $500 for such a product.
On the other had you have Sapphire ATi X2900 XT , which is the Ati R600 the gaming world was looking forward to. this is cheaper than geforce 8800 GTS, same performance, but has better technology , so in time this will stand out while others might fall.

It is the monster cards - 8800 Ultra and GTX. Also need a lot of juice- 378watts for 8800GTX SLI and 163watts for the Ultra. Those are power draws of the cards ONLY.

well the best card out there is the geforce 8800gtx but this card is a bit expensive. if you are looking for comparisons check out toms hardware guid on the web for video cards and it will give a good breakdown of price categories and splits them between pci-e and agp varieties.
and the best card will only be the best card for six months maximum.

Right now it's this one --> GeForce 8800 Ultra.

i think that the ATI RADEON 1950 XTX, its alittle expensive, but worth it when it comes down
