If all stars in the universe were burned out, that would include our own sun. In that event, life on earth would cease and we would not have ability to see anything.

If this was a sudden occurrence, it would not be noticeable right away. It would take hundreds of years for some of the more distant stars to change noticeably.

Otherwise, we would see nothing but a dark field.

Since there would be no light from stars, possibly total blackness, unless black holes remained. Although black holes absorb light, they still give of radiation, x-rays and other types of energy, some of which may be visible, but they are probably far, far apart, so there would only be a few specks of light, instead of countless ones.

Well, if we weren't dead, we still wouldn't see anything, because there wouldn't be any light to reflect off anything. I suppose we could burn stuff for a little while...
