I think it was 55 days initially - then it got cut by half for good "behavior" - I thought you earned good behavior while you are "in" the jail not outside - I just heard she's only going 12 days now - WTF?

And how come she has to go to jail on an "auspicious" date? I thought you are supposed to be taken in the moment the judge lowers his gavel, "Case over".

What's going to be next now? Are they going to live telecast Paris's stint in prison - her weeping, her crying - her "emotions"- maybe other celebrities will take the cue and soon we'll have everyone from Angelina Jolie to Oprah Winfrey breaking laws openly in a reality-TV inspired show "Jail Birds".

Initially it was forty five days and she had to report by June 5th. Due to overcrowding at the LA Jail and apparently driving with a suspended license and breaking probation isn't a big priority with the LA cops ( they're busy with the illegal aliens ) so her sentence got reduced to 23 days, gee that 'll put her out on the street in time for another blow party on the fourth.

Ah the wheels of american justice for the rich and famous and the infamous. If it was you or me , we'd be doing more than 45 days and forget the fact the jail is crowded.

She was first given 45 days, then it got cut. The bottom line is that no one, not the judge, not Paris, not the DAs, no one knows exactly how many days she'll be in jail right now.

As for the future date for going to jail, it depends on a number of factors, but you are right, after a criminal trial you are escorted to jail if you lose and set free if you win. Paris is not a flight risk, it was not a violent crime, etc, so the judge had discretion in setting up her sentence. Things like this happen all the time, whether or not you are a Hilton.

The last thing I heard was 22 or 23 days....half of the original sentence but if I were to guess how many days she will actually serve I would guess 0. They will eventually whittle it down to nothing!!

As for why she didn't go immediatly, it is supposedly because the jails there are so overcrowded they don't have room for her until the date set for her to turn herself in.

I think this whole thing is stupid!!

It is hard to understand why she was given leave from the court she should have gone to jail straightaway. She was given 45 days now its cut by half. She will be held in a special unit that houses celebrities ,politicians and the like.I think 90 days would have been appropriate in this case .

She have been given the finished 40 5 days, yet i'm going to wager she's out by potential of monday. enable's settle for it... we are speaking approximately L.A. and that they could no longer prosecute a jaywalker if that they had video. She'll finally end up sueing them and that i wager she wins. the place is the justice?

It's ridiculous....

Laws always bend or break towards the rich & famous.

I say show that the law is always in full force and put her away for 1 year.

It will make her grow up a bit and sort out her damn clothing.

rich people need to get their affairs in order before they do their time, hence the time lag, and if she gets treated like everybody else, she should not be there for more than two days, because of overcrowding.
