It is on a Craftman rider about 6-7 yrs old,model LT1000

Both intake and exhaust are .006" at TDC compression.

mrnoital is on track. There is some kind of debris in the main jet. This happens when gas sits in the carburetor for long periods. You may get by with taking the float bowl off and cleaning what you can get to but if that doesn't fix it you may need to remove and properly clean the carburetor. This means it should be taken apart, soaked in a quality carburetor cleaner, blown out with air and inspected for cleanliness and put together with a rebuild kit. It sounds harder than it is and it will run like new when you are done. Just watch how the governor and other linkages hook to the carburetor. I sometimes take a digital photo before taking the carburetor off. You may get by with running some carburetor/fuel injector cleaner through the carburetor. The kind that you add to the gas. I would try that first but don't count on it doing the job.
