If you are refering to the current GOP choices for President, I don't know. People like Huckabee and Hunter are being shoved to the back while men like Rudy and McCain who are social libs are pushed to the front.
I've still got my fingers crossed for Thompson to step up.

One thing for sure, Barry Goldwater is spinning in his grave watching the neo(liberal)conservatives nowadays.
The boys on the stage the other night talked tough about spending, deficits, and debt, but its a 100% guarantee that NONE of them will do anything about it, if they get elected.
And lets not even get started on the Patriot Act (eg: nanny govt.) legislation.
Goldwater must have thought he was in hell watching all the neocons vote for that.

Your statement is not correct. Many Republican politicians are not true conservatives. Their ideals get corrupted in Washington. It is the conservatives who are rejecting politicians who have gone Democrat-lite.
