How about yellow - I've been looking at prom dresses and it seems to be quite popular just now. Nice colour for a summer wedding and it looks really good on darker skin (I'm envious because it doesn't suit me!) Coast and Monsoon have lots of nice stuff.

Try something coral, lavender or white. Look at Nordstroms' summer dresses. Is the wedding in the day or night?? That will make all the difference in the world. You can always go to Nordy's and try on some stuff and find a color that suits you best. They have great help and are quite eager to match you with your skin tone. Once you find the right dress go to the Mac counter and get some eye shadow that matches the dress, or you can have them do your make-up. They do a great job and know their stuff. Good luck and it is okay to look better than the Bride she already has her mate and he should not be looking at anyone but her. Have fun and don't drink toooooo much. :)

Have you considered lilac? All i can say is don't wear white whatever you do! Its considered rude to wear white on the brides day! If u want to look very good with out up-staging the bride, instead of going in a big loud outfit wear something sexy and sophisticated! Something subtle that makes everybody look around! Maybe something short and fitted!? Have a great time!

I think a nice floral sundress would look very nice at a daytime wedding- sundresses are beautiful and spring-y, and you'll look very nice without upstaging the bride. For an evening wedding, you'll want to wear something a little more formal. I once wore a bright red evening gown to my then-boyfriend's brother's evening wedding. It was a beautiful dress, just like the one Julia Roberts wears in Pretty Woman when they go to the opera, but it was definitely the only red dress there, and I felt like a huge spotlight was on me the whole evening. I agree about black- not very wedding-y, and peach, cream, and lime are usually reserved for the bridesmaids. How about a nice pink (not baby pink, and not hot pink, but something in between, like- dusty rose???) floor-length dress with a not too full skirt that sort of flows when you walk and dance? I have included pictures to sort of illustrate my idea. And silver strappy sandals. Only silver will do!!

Choose colors that will not upstage the bride, avoid wearing cream, white, or ivory shades.
If you have a warm tone skin, and the wedding is outdoors you could wear a light mauve color or if you are indoors you could wear an emerald green or quartz blue color. If you want to you can play it safe and wear a topaz color that is neutral, but yet classy. (you would avoid wearing black this way)
Good luck, and remember you can accessorize with colors with your handbag/shoes and jewelry. For example, you could wear the topaz color and wear turquoise, or emerald with gold accents. Good luck!

"upstage the bride" lol. NOONE can EVER upstage the bride. She'll always look the hottest so wear whatever you want, as long as it isnt white (or whatever colour she's wearing) and dont worry about "upstaging her." you wont.

The brides mother usually wears blue - be careful!!!!!! Wear the colour you love to wear most and you can't go wrong. Wear something you wouldn't normally go with and you'll feel really self-concious and uncomfortable all day.

You wear a nice dress or even a nice shirt and pants. You never wear white but other than that anything is possible, even black. Black is elegant and never goes out of style.

presumably, you know other people who will be attending this wedding. if you don't care to stick out like a sore thumb, you'd play a bit by ear.
on the other hand, you know what your complexion allows you to get away with and you wear it well.....huh? take some time to shop around and see whats available. when you see it....... you'll know.
