Many sci-fi movies have time-machines that people use to visit themselves in the past. But are we ever really the same person? We are constantly consuming, touching, interacting, and changing our minds. I might have loved someone one day and hated them the next. Maybe i can walk today, but lose my legs tomorrow. How can we say we are the same person when we change so much?

We are the same person, more and different experiences perhaps, but still the same person.

We are a work in motion.. always interacting and accumulating our environment into who we are (though some are more resistant to change than others).. still.. the idea of a time machine is that you could go back to you at an exact point when you had received very specific interactions with your environment.. so as long as you don't alter your past interactions it wouldn't alter you in the past to the present.. although it may alter who you become in the future.. after all.. that would be yet another interaction for the current you.. and a very insightful one at that.

My life has changed drastically in the past 10 years. I know that so much about me is different now, however, I am still basically the same person on the inside with the same values, morals and beliefs. I must say I am more skeptical now and much wiser I hope, but the real you, your basic personality is still the same. My body has given out on me and that affects my mental state as well. I still can see old friends from before my accident and they recognize me and my personality so obviously that part of me hasn't changed that much.

Because even though circumstances, feelings and thoughts change.
Character remains the same!! nothing changes that!!!
Character is the foundation of who you are so in that way you are always still the same person but placed in different settings.
Your character determines your reaction to the situations but it never changes

I think we are who we are because of our experiances and if they are changed then we are changed as well
