I have friends visiting from Australia, one of which is an Australian citizen. We want to make a day trip to Tijuana. Assuming they are permitted to visit the United States and Mexico, would they be restricted from re-entering the United States from Mexico?

Australians do not need a Visa to visit the U.S. Therefore, there should be no problem getting back into the U.S. from Mexico. The person in question will need their passport of course, and be ready to answer detailed questions about their trip, travel to Mexico, etc.

I would also recommend taking a tour bus rather than your own vehicle, when visiting Tiajuana, it just makes things a whole lot easier.

If you or your friend have any further concerns, directly contact one of the southern border stations and ask.

Yes you may, however you MUST have a valid passport and several forms of identification. I would not reccommend trying to come into America from Mexico unless you are American or Mexican (with a valid american visa). I was recently in Mexico and with the new regulations it is very difficult for anyone with any problem (like homlessness or in your case, foriegn citizenship) to re-enter America. Canada will not allow you into the country without a passport and proof of financial capability (unless you are an American).
basically, dont do it.

all of them recognize. unlawful potential no longer criminal and in the adventure that they don't comprehend that aspect period - i'm sorry yet i imagine even the mentally poorest is well-known with what it potential. They flow from state to state, fleeing because they recognize it o.k. and in the adventure that they were given deported and re-enter, they do recognize it truly is unlawful. I unquestionably have by no potential considered a deported unlawful alien re-getting into the country by technique of exhibiting up on the border and providing his passport.

They shouldn't, but they will have to have ID. Their passports should have their entry stamps already.

Best bet is to park at the border and walk across. Driving back takes forever.
