SC, 8 acres total, 3 mowed weekly. Best advice on model that can handle weekly mowing of 3+ acres, flat, sandy. Present Deere can't take the strain, poor dear.

Forget about buying a lawn tractor. Buy yourself a small diesel powered tractor with a belly mower (Kabota 2300, 7800) would be good sizes. You will pay more to start, but it will last considerably longer. You can also buy implements like tillers, blades, backhoe, etc for the tractor.

Kubota. Zero turn, wide cut, takes less time. Good performance and maitenance records. Look it up on the net. I just looked for Columbia ans Charleston and found 6 dealers. They are very good machines.
