Most conservative non-muslim countries/areas?

I'm just wondering which countries are the most all around conservative. Basically I want to live in the US of the 1950's, and I'm wondering where on the planet I might find such a wonderland. Anyone have any ideas? Also, save the snark.

I assume you want a country with a high standard of living and limited government interference in your individual life.

I'd look for a former British colony on a relatively small Island. Perhaps Bermuda.
