No. Well, I believe that it depends on the luck of the draw. Some people get a family worth keeping and caring for, but others aren't so lucky...sometimes, the family we choose is the one which is there, even when our actual blood relatives aren't... I think I'm a lucky one, so far at least...
Edit: Did I not get the question? Was it actually intended for a scientific response? If so, sorry, I've made a fool out of myself...lol...

Blood is still thicker than water and with second marriages and family blood oftentimes includes step blood as well. My kids are their own little army from 3 families. Don't mess with them whole, half or step....they will all come to the war.

I think I know what you mean. Family should come first, but some people allow others to break up the bonds betwee their families, and some don't even love their relatives or care. It is very sad though.

It's a biological fact, blood is thicker than water.
Blood contains water but water doesn't contain blood.

In the literal sense.
In a purely intellectual sense, no and hell no. anyone who says that is only trying to use it as a weapon. The closest family I have ever known have not one drop of the same blood as me, but we would kill for each other - any of my "blood" would not.

Depends. The blood could have haemophilia, which means the blood hasn't got the clotting factors so it could be as runny as water.

No, its not. My best friend of 19 years lives with my and my husband and we're like a goofy little family. Everyone thinks its weird, but it works.

I think you're right with all the sh** chemicals they put in water now.
40 years ago Birmingham had some of the cleanest and sweetest water in the country, now look at it, you can actually see the cr** floating in it.

That just depends...like for example, your family is important but when you get married and have kids they come first.
