Hi,

How is everyone doing? Hopefully fine. I have a question, When does your Temp goes up? After you O'd or before?

Any help or tip would be greatfull...

I think i O'd on the 15th of this month,I BD the day 14,16 so can there be a possibility to get a BFP and also can it be possible to BD on O'd day and still get Pg? How long does it take for sperm to reach egg?

Basal body temperature rises after ovulation, as a result of increased progesterone in the system. That is why taking ones basal body temperature is only one part of Fertility Awareness, and is a useful tool to confirm ovulation but cannot be used to tell you when ovulation is imminent.

If you ovulated on the 15th and TTC on the 14th you could be pregnant, yes -- a well known (in the world of reproductive endocrinology!) study conducted in 1996 on the timing of intercourse and chance of conception concluded that the best chances of conception occur with intercourse that takes place in the few days preceding ovulation (and includes ovulation day itself), with the single best chance for conception occurring as a result of intercourse that takes place one day preceding ovulation. This is because the sperm does take a bit of time to reach its destination, while the egg has an extremely short life span once released by your follicle.

Hope that helps. Best of luck to you!

With basal body temperature, you're temp will go up about a day after you ovulate. When the egg is released, it has about 24 hours to fertilize. Sperm can live within your body for a few days so if you start having sex a bit before you ovulate you can still get pregnant. Once you know your cycle really well, you'll be able to time exactly when to have sex to try to get pregnant. Sex every other day is better than every day because it gives the man's sperm enough time to get back to really high levels.

Your temp will rise the day following ovulation. With those two days you have decent chances as far as chances go. Not sure how long conception takes, but implantation on average is 5-10 days followign ovulation. If you have a BBT chart Id be happy to look at it for you.
