I'm going on an 18 hour train ride to Pennsylvania from Florida on the weekend and I don't know what I should wear to feel comfy but still look okay? And fashionable? And how to do my hair and makeup to be low maintenance but still look awesome?

Wear comfortable knit pants [ after a while, jeans bunch up on you ], shoes you can walk a lot in, and a knit top with a jacket or sweater that resists wrinkles [ can also be used as a pillow!]. Beware of pantyhose- they can get very annoying after 12 hours!
Wear a hairstyle that is simple, low maintainence, so you can nap if you wish. [ ponytail hedband, etc.]
wear only non-smear makeup - mascara, liner maybe, lip color [ not foundation or shadow ].
Jewelry that doesn't jingle[ annoying ], and doesn't get in your way [ like skinny hoop earrings ].
Bring all your necessaries in your travel bag like medication, birth control, tissues.
Bring a good book, and something else to occupy your time
[ipod, sudoku, homework ]
DO NOT - polish your nails or spray on perfume [ some people can't take the smell ], make lots of noise, or disturb people who are sleeping.
If you nap, use you purse as a pillow.

You said it yourself..it will be an 18 hour train ride ?
Why not forget about fashionable..but think of comfort first.
No one looks extremely well put together after an 18 hour train ride or an 18 hour flight. Wear something comfy like windbreakers with a cute top and maybe a visor and a light jacket.

Jeans are uncomfortable..and a dress on a plane or train i just wouldn't recommend especially if you sit on the same seat for a good long time and then have to get up and re-adjust your dress and have to carry some luggage too. It can get chilly on a train and plane.

When traveling you should wear something that is very comfortable, not too tight, with all the new two piece work out cloths, pick one of those, as for makeup, you will probably be taking a few naps along the way, so why bother, as for your hair, if its long, bring some clips along so you can put it up, or if short, maybe after you nap, put some water on hair to refresh it! Have a great trip!

I suggest a nice pair jeans, I find them to be the most comfortable, yet can still look trendy and sophisticated. Then, pair it with a blouse of your choosing (I recommend something cotton, as it won't be as devastating if it gets ruined). I don't know about you, but I have these really cute pair of shoes that are not only trendy but comfy, and it goes with many of my outfits. (their white eyelet wedges ).
Your makeup is all up to you; maybe some mascara and a little shadow with lipgloss that matches. And don't forget to have a nice purse that goes with your outfit (but since your traveling, i would bring a tote)

at the same time as travelling on orders and with reference to the mission a Soldier is authorized to placed on the ACU's or multicams. on your mission you should vacation in civvies or your type A's. with regards on your further comments, in case you're taking the anti-terrorism information type it tells you now to not placed on your uniform except you should. My first answer became going by technique of regs, this area is my own opinion, you're literally not a soldier and until eventually you're regardless of regulations and guidelines you should no longer placed on ANY uniform domicile. once you get domicile sit with your Grandfather and communicate with him about your hopes and aspirations of turning right into a militia officer (or are you in ROTC for the instructions practise)
