Has anyone ever gotten pregnant and then bled for a little bit during the time in which you were supposed to have your period but yet no material came out (usualy the endometirum is shed at this time) and the blood was a funny color...instead of being a crmson red it was light red almost an orangy color? I bled for two days only. Has anyone had that???

From the day I was supposed to start my period, I had anything from pink to brown to light red to beige colored discharge. That is why I didn't even take a preg test until I was 10 days late because I thought I was trying to start. I continuted to do so until I was about 11-12 weeks pregnant. I am now 16 weeks and 2 days. My doctor kept telling me that unless I was having severe cramping and it was heavy with tissue or clots to not worry. It was very aggravating and I would cry all of the time because I thought something bad was happening. I would call your doctor and let them know what is going on, but I experienced the same thing, and it ended up just being the way my body was reacting to the pregnancy.

I bled a lot during my first trimester, and it mimicked a period. Any bright red bleeding should be reported to your OB right away when you are pregnant as it could indicate a problem. Contrary to what some believe, you can not have an actual period when pregnant. Many women have bleeding and everything turns out fine. Implantation bleeding can occur around the time your period is due, so maybe it was that.

Did you happen to have sex right before that? I scared myself to death when preg with my second baby. Hubby & I had sex, then I started bleeding. The OB said it was perfectly normal if it was only a small amount of bleeding. He said that the cervix is enlarged and has more blood, so the act of having sex irritated the cervix enough to cause some bleeding. It happened to coincide with right about when my next period would have been.
It's worth calling your OB about it, especially if it hasn't stopped or if it re-starts.

I had that with my second daughter, my midwife said it was implantation bleeding from the egg implanting itself into my uterus. Mine looked almost like a regular period, but not lasting as long.
