Everyone has a different level of natural ability for dance. You don't necessarily have to start dancing young to be really good. Personally, I have found that many people who start dancing later (in their teens) turn out to be as good as those who have been dancing their whole lives. Ballroom dancing is a great genre of dance to take because it accommodates to anyones dance ability. If you aren't so coordinated you will still look good, because you have a partner. There are basic steps to every ballroom dance style, so its possible to have interesting choreography with simple steps by adding fancy spins, arm movements and performance quality. It is not too late, in fact never too late to take up the art of dance, especially if you are really into it- no matter how good you are or how much work you need. Just remember it will take a lot of dedication and practice. I'd say give it a shot. It never hurts to try!

It's never too late to start any type of dancing. Don't let anyone tell you you won't be any good. How far you go with it depends on your dedication to it. To become a professional or semipro, your looking at full time (meaning several days a week with a professional instructor=$$$$$$). Can your parents afford to support your dream till you can do it on your own? Is there anyone in your area that teaches ballroom? There are alot more questions that you need to ask not only yourself, but your parents and professionals. A professional also has to be willing to coach you if you want to compete (which is the only way to become a professional). Start out with some local classes to see if you will stick with it first. Good luck!

It is never to late to start dancing. Ballroom requires some coordination, but if you love to move, you should be able to learn. Make it fun, find a good partner (who won't step on your feet) and some lessons, our public library even has DVD lessons for some ballroom styles.
Most importantly enjoy it!

Not hard at all, and being 17 you have high chance of getting good. It takes 5-7 years to get to Championship level if you have good teachers and good partners. When you're 23-25 you're still young.
You will have to put in at least 3 practices per week, but most people who dance seriously train 5-6 times per week.

Your picture is weird. Anyway, ballroom dancing is a VERY athletic discipline that takes hours and hours and months and years of practice to perfect. If you are naturally athletic and coordinated that will help, but it isn't something you can do in say, a few lessons. You need practice and more practice like anything else.

It will be more difficult because you're older (my age :)) , but don't give up just because people tell you so. Try, and you'll easily quit if it really goes bad. I mean, my friend just started going, so and don't see the reason you shouldn't. Good luck!
