I received a very nice purse as a gift for graduation from my uncle. I LOVE the purse, but it is a little too small for me. I want the same style just a bigger one. I found the one I want and it looks very similar just larger. Is is wrong for me to exchange the purse for a different one? Should I just keep the one he gave me? Thanks!!

I think you should exchange it. He probably will not even know that you exchanged it for a bigger one (most men wouldn't). I would prefer someone being happy with my gift versus putting it in a closet and never using it. Good Luck.

It is not wrong at all! Try not to feel bad that you would prefer a bigger bag. Just because your uncle gave it to you dose not mean that it it is to your total taste. Every has their own style and if yours is a little bigger purse then so be it. Exchange the bag and you will use it and love it at the same time!!!!!

I feel that you need to return the purse and go get the one that you want. If it is too small then you will not be happy with it so why not be happy with your gift! I am sure your Uncle will appreciate the fact that you tell him that you like the purse but want the larger size!

I do not believe it is wrong to exchange a gift, especially in this case since you only desire to have a larger version of the same article. Your uncle will probably be flattered that he was able to choose something so close to what you actually wanted. Remember to thank him and compliment him on his good taste.

A gift means it belongs to you, and you can do with it what you want. I don't think your uncle will have his feelings hurt; after all, you're getting the same purse (thus honoring his choice), just bigger.

Absolutely exchange it. You are choosing the same style, just in a size that is good for you. If you are asked about it, just tell the person who gave it to you that you loved the style, and then crack a joke, like, I just needed to super size it for all my junk I carry around! Especially since it was from your uncle, he won't be offended, it will make perfect logical sense to him!

I don't think it's wrong at all! It is the kind of gift that is meant to be used. If it were a mostly sentimental gift I would say that exchanging it was wrong, but you're simply exchanging a useful gift for one that is more useful to you.

I think that it would be ok with your uncle. As long as you excangeing it for a good reason and not for the money. If he notices(which he probably wont) just tell him that it wasnt big enough and your stuff didnt fit in it so you got a bigger one. He wont mind at all.
