I'm talking about the NATION, then what kind of person would Japan be?

First, male or female (and why)?
Then, personality traits (good and bad, if you can think of both)?
Any other attributes?

You can dress him/her, too if you want! I think this should be fun and interesting...

Jessica, stop surfing the net at work!!
I think guy. Slightly shaggy hair, baggy jeans, sorta cowboy-style shirt w snaps that looks totally rockabilly cool. Cool techie watch. Beat-up Chuck Taylor's. Burlap messanger bag. Loves snowboarding and baseball. Has an orange keitai. Drinks a lot of coffee.
Personality trait: doesn't realize how cool he is. Just thinks he's a small-town dork and can't imagine why anyone would want to visit his country. Would like to visit NYC or LA, but is nervous about going abroad and could never be bothered to really learn English.
Actually there are many more characters out there, but this is the first one that came to my mind. I don't think Japan could be represented by just one person.

I think if Japan were a person, I would describe as mixed twins or son and mother.

The guy is very aggressive in many fields and today he is holding enough wealth.
20 years ago, his sister or his mother started to give an advice to the guy to let his created products more cute, pretty, and nice.

Why I involve female in the characteristic is because there is top enshrined Goddess "Amaterasu" in Japan.

I always feel Japan's national characteristic is as female.
And you know, some ppl call Japan "bicth" when they insult.

If Japan was a person, I think it would be a male. I think many Japanese are shy and don't tell their emotions too well. Those are stereotypical male qualities.

If Japan was a person, he'd be hard working, honest, and well cultured. He would also be a good family person.

I'd like to think of all the nations as highschoolers in the lunch room. Japan would be the quiet very brainy nerdy kid. I picture Japan to have all the gadgets (pocket protectors, pencil case with cool sharpener, trapper keeper) Japan would have great grades and organizational skills, but would get his poor butt beat if it weren't for his friend America. America would be the football playing jock. Big loud, not very sophistacted, but definitately cool. Even though America's grades aren't too great and sometimes America falls behind in tests, a lot of the other countries want to be America's friend. America isn't a bully although easily could become one with his intimidating presence. America is actually a defender of the little guy. Japan didn't always like America but now depends on America for support and bully help from some of the other nations. They have a pretty good relationship now and share some funny stories like the time former president bush got sick and barfed all over their prime minister. North Korea is a huge nerd, but uses it's brains to entice China as a friend. China is another America type presence...big and intimidating, but depends on Korea to cheat on tests and get through school. N.Korea is small, but a bully because of China's backing. France is a stuck up socialite type (think Paris Hilton). She thinks America should be madly in love with her, and when he isn't, her pride is hurt and she pouts. She is snooty and rude. England is smart and fun, but just doesn't have the athletic prowes as America, but thouroughly enjoys Americas company and together they have a great friendship. Sometimes England's sense of humor is a bit off, but America forgives him. There are a lot of gangs that pick fights with America and England but they are a good team and make sure they don't take over the school. Japan has homeroom classs with China and N.Korea and doesn't have a strong defense but knows America and England have his back. He continues to get good grades and excell in his hobbies of technology.

Japan would be an evil female that is wearing a bio-suit made by the aliens, she would try to take over the world by rendering the power of the sun, and using it against us.

I think Japan would be a male, a businessman, hard working, who like to drink alot and go to snack, like to gamble at pachinko and like to go to karaoke.

Male, because females seem to hold a lower status then their male counterparts.

Personality traits.. perhaps a touch of megalomania and paranoia with a conservative capitalistic flare.. definitely a racist.

And a technophile certainly.

He wears a brown Imperial Army outfit circa WW2, and likes to beat people he doesn't like with a bamboo stick..

People he doesn't like includes everybody that isn't Japanese.

And this is a serious reply.
