...get ready to get happy!!!

Clive Barker, himself, is spearheading a remake of the first "Hellraiser", on conjunction with Dimension Films; definately going to be a theatrical release (unlike the dismal direct-to-video sequels), and done with more money.

I say, way to go, Clive!!! Get out there and show/remind the film making masses out there, how to do "Hellraiser" right!!!

It is true that they are doing a remake to the original Hellraiser. Clive Barker will write and produce the film but he is not going to direct. He says he is excited to go back with the money and technology that he didn't have back then. This is the film he holds closest to his his heart and he says its going to be what it was always meant to be. It is early in production so not much is set. Ashley Lawrence is rumored to be returning but so according to Doug Bradley, he has not yet been approached to be Pinhead. I personally can't imagine anyone else in the iconic role. Alot of websites are doubting that he will return and the film will just feature different Cenobites. The film is projected for 2008 and I can't wait it should be amazing.
