Looks like a male to me because of big lump on forehead,this frontosa is about 8"

Thats a definite male bud. for the most part. Males are the only ones who have a bump on the forehead. Males are also always bigger than most females. Also you can tell by the anal fin. Males normally have a point, and females are normally rounded.

That looks like a Male Blockhead Cichlid.
The bump is pretty large.

If I had to guess, I'd say Male too. Males are usually more vibrantly colored, and depending on breed smaller.
