Um, it might be that you're TOO independent.
The kind of man I recommend to any woman is the kind of man who, by nature, takes care of his wife. He actually WANTS to be the breadwinner, to kill the spiders, and to shield her from the riffraff of the world--not because he's insecure or autocratic, but because a good man has an instinct to provide and protect (just as a good woman has an instinct to nurture and support).
Your home ownership, career, and "other things going for you" might be off-putting to a man who wants a wife, not a co-president. They might also suggest to him that you might pick up and leave at any moment...
Just a thought. You might communicate a willingness to surrender some of these things...but you must be willing to surrender them.

You seem to think the lack of a partner is a bad thing? I was alone on purpose for three years because I refused to settle for less then what I was worth.
Keep strong & maintain everything you have worked hard to acheive - I am the same way. Have my own.
What you are looking to do is fill up spare time - so think about your likes & potential hobbies. You'll meet persons of interests that have similar likes & that always helps.

Finding the right man is something you cannot look for, when it's time, it will happen, you sound like you got it together. Maybe the guys you meet are intimidated by you. Good luck though.
