If the catcher drops the ball on Strike 3.

In baseball, you don't steal first base. If the catcher drops the ball on strike three, he must throw it to first before the batter can get there, but that is not stealing a base. It's recorded as either a passed ball or a wild pitch (although I've never seen a wild pitch that could be called a strike. I guess it's possible if the catcher was standing away from the plate for an intentional walk and the pitcher wasn't paying attention!). "Stealing" first base from second is now illegal - and even when it was legal, nobody ever fell for it.

In real-life, wait until nobody is looking, grab it and run. However, you'll have a hard time selling it without the complete set.

Actually in the beginning of baseball, early 1900's you could steal first base. You were allowed to retreat from second base to first base. If you were on second and then ran back to first with out getting tagged it would count as a steal. I don't know why this would ever be done but it did happen. Some for of strategy I suppose. Maybe to keep their player from being walked intentionally.

You can't steal first base. A dropped 3rd strike and you get to first is still a strikeout. Doesn't count as a steal.

I don't think you can steal first base, the are seven ways you can reach first base:

Hit
Error
Walk
Hit by Pitch
Strikeout (if the ball gets away from the catcher)
Catcher's Interference
Fielder's Choice

I remember reading that at 1 time there was a player that actually stole 1st base.
he was on 1st and another player was on 3rd.
He stole 2nd base but the player on 3rd didn't move.
He then proceeded to steal 1st on the next pitch.

after that occured a rule was put in to prevent others from doing the
same thing

It's impossible. Even if you do drop a 3rd strike and make it to first, it's not ruled as a stolen base.

Pry the base out of the ground atleast one day before the game, cover the hole with lots of dirt and soak it. The next day, the soil will be stuck as a cement-like mixture hiding any clues a base was even there.

When the pitcher drops a strike three. the play is still recorded as a stike out, but if the player reaches first then it is considered reached base on error. it will not be ruled as a stolen base per se.
