Hi all, I'm going on a massive east coast trip from May 21st to June 5th, visiting Boston, New York, Atlantic City, DC, Philadelphia, and Toronto. Gonna be hitting all the main tourist attractions in all cities and taking a lot of pics.
My digital camera has 1M, 2M, 3M, i wanna use 3M but that only gives 335 pictures, 2M gives 408 pictures, and 1M gives 550 pictures. I wonder and do u think...will 335 pictures be enough for my trip? I obviously want the highest quality of pics, or do u think its better just do to lower res? or buy another XD/SD memory card? Thanks

Definitely buy another memory card! Or two! AND buy a hard case to keep them in.
Get a 1GB or 2GB memory card, or two ... or ....
Do NOT make the mistake of taking photo's on a lower resolution ... if even just one of your photo's turns out terrific enough for framing as an 8x10 or larger poster, or even to enter in a contest, you will always regret it. Ask me how I know ... always use largest res!
I routinely take 200 photo's on a one hour walk (then filter through them later, decreasing how many I keep).
Anyway, take at least 2GB worth of memory cards.
Also, while on your vacation, if you can access the internet from a motel or internet cafe, get yourself an account at one or more of the online sites where you can upload files, some allow you as much as 5 gb's. Get two accounts, at dif sites, and upload your photo's at each (so you have duplicates, always be cautious). Then you can empty a memory card ... or at least go through and take off the ones that are less than great. But only do so once you have them stored somewhere reliable.

I think 335 pictures should be enough.
Look at it this way: The absolute WORST situation would be that you would use up all of your pictures and have to buy either another memory card OR a disposable camera while you are on your trip. That's not bad.

Buy an extra memory card. You will probably take double the pictures you think you will. You are going to several of the most interesting, historical and architecturally diverse places in North America.
I live in NYC, and you could easily take a couple hundred here alone.

New memory card, definately.
Photos are memories, and i made the mistake of not taking enough memory sticks with me to a once in a lifetime trip to morocco, i was so angry with myself, but we were staying in places you couldn't use laptops, if you have a laptop, just upload them every night and you should be fine, or use internet cafe's reguly but i recomend a new memory cars as a back up 200% and maybe consider more batteries if its one you can't get hold of easily.

Since you know that you want to take 'lots of pictures' and I think you want to have them 'the best quality possible,' I think it would be 'best' if you could 'invest' in the LARGEST CAPACITY memory card available for your camera. You'll want one that should 'hold' at least 800 pictures at the 'highest resolution' and to be 'totally safe' you'll want at least two ... on in the camera, and the other in a 'pocket' of the camera case, in case you take more than the first card will hold.

i've got seen ones with --the marriage occasion jogging in--undecided how your bridesmaids, maid of honor, grooms adult men, etc would be attending to the front. --then the bride along with her father or who ever is giving her away. additionally the mothers being seated. --particularly some ones of the ceremony...the mothers lights the cohesion candle, the bride and groom finding lovingly into each and every others eyes, while you're having candle lighters, particular music, etc...of path you're able to seize the hoop substitute and the kiss then as quickly as you're offered as guy and spouse then jogging down the aisle mutually. (those could count on the regulations the minister has...this may be something to study) --after with the marriage occasion frequently there are some with the bride and her women then the groom with the girls, the groom along with his adult men and the bride with the adult men...those could be humorous or extreme...the bride w/ her mom and dad, grandparents and different relatives then the groom with the brides relatives and the groom along with his relatives, etc. --the reception you will definately choose the cake and in case you have exceptionally wine glasses. What i've got continually thought became neat on the reception became basically havign disposible cameras and enable the folk there take photographs, i might basically make an remark for persons to maintain them tasetful. One image I even have continually enjoyed became the shot of the brides hand and the grooms hand as quickly as the ceremony is executed. go get a large SD card. It costs nothing compared to the expenses you'll incur on your trip.
