Considering that the San Antonio Spurs barely won Game 5 vs. the Phoenix Suns with Stoudemire and Diaw on the bench due to a very controversial decision by the league, if the Spurs go on to win the championship this year, will it be tainted?

Oh def. It will be, but it shouldn't be. The Spurs have owned the Suns in the postseason, and everyone assumes that would have stopped this yr but we don't know. According to stats, San Antonio is now 7-1 in game 5s with the series tied 2-2. So they probably win that game anyway. Two, the series was back and forth up to that point. Both teams had won on the others floor, and no one had won 2 games in a row. If you want to know what's scary, its that Amare and Diaw come back in Game w/ 6 with a chip on their shoulder, and (despite his statistics) the spurs are still without a valuable member in Horry. My personal opinion is that the Amare and Diaw's suspensions did nothing to affect the outcome of this series, it'll go seven, and ultimately the best team will win.

it fairly is such as the Rockets that won the two championship 13 years in the past, remember, on no account count extensive sort the protecting champs out, the Houston Rockets of 1995 knocked off the west's proper seeds and won the NBA championship, no one ever predicted to be sure them on the finals, with opposition like the Spurs, Suns, and the Jazz.

No, it's not a single elimination playoff. It's best of seven. So the Spurs would've had to win 3 other games. I still think the Spurs would've won anyway. The Spurs relaxed and Phoenix played harder knowing two good players were gone.

I don't think it is. This is just one series, there is still the jazz and then the Finals. The Spurs has won most of its game againt the Suns in the regular season and come on, this is the Playoffs, its all about physicality, mentality and determenation of the team.

If the Spurs defeat Phoenix, they will still have two tough teams standing between them and the title. They won't be tained in my book.

Their 2003 championship was tainted when Ginobili accidentally tumbled into Nowitzki's knees, spraining his ligaments and ending his season. This will be tainted championship #2 for them.

Absolutely. I hope David Stern is happy for screwing up the entire season. What a waste.
