I am partial to Cocoa Beach, Florida myself.
It's a nice coastal community where just about everyone is walking distance from the beach, one of the greatest beaches in the world.
It is close to Miami, Orlando, and Jacksonville, where you can get to do all the shopping you want.
Also, you can see and hear the space launches from Kennedy Space Center, which is about a 45 minute drive from there.
There is the Ron Jon/ Cocoa Beach Surfing Festival every year, and great places to eat.
Other then the mean snow birds, the residents there are great people.

I would say Portland, OR or Seattle, WA. These cities are pretty safe, offer cultural growth for ANY cultures, and are very clean. They are both in the Northwest, so you have a variety of climates that are easily accessible within no more than a 3 hour drive. There are desert areas, beaches, forest areas to go camping, and lots of things to do!! I don't know who said "Atlanta," but I live in Atlanta right now and it sucks. The traffic is HORRIFIC (I don't even drive between 5-7pm), and I'm not even going into it about the races, but let's just say that, while you'd think Atlanta was a very progressive city, there is a lot of underlying racism prevelent from ALL races. People seem to want color of their skin to still be an issue, contrary to what MLK dreamed about.

Toronto - but if you mean America USA, then its different for each race, Atlanta, Detroit and Cleveland are mostly black. Washington D.C is totally corrupt and has the most hookers. In Miami you have to talk Spanish. My bet is Seattle and Austin.
