Are you asking if you can perform the task of taking a patient's dental x-rays? Why not? You have to leave the room to make an exposure in any dental office I have ever seen. There is no reason for you to be in the room and, in a properly designed dental clinic), there should be no way to reach the exposure button from inside the room where the x-rays are generated. If you are outside of the room where the x-rays are generated, you don't receive ANY radiation. Maybe I am reading the question wrong here.....
This is a website which has questions answered by qualified medical personnel. Here is what I found:
"Even if you were to be a patient and have some dental x rays done on you, there is no cause for concern for your baby. As well, the radiation exposure you receive in your occupation is too low, if there is any, to cause effects to your baby."
Go to the site for a more indepth details.

NO! I am a Registered Dental Assistant and in my office there is no way they would let us take x-rays. Not even if there is a chance that you could be pregnant. There is too much of a risk that your baby could get the radiation exposure when you take that many x-rays a day. Definately DO NOT take them!!

I'm not even a fan of ultrasounds, so I would definitely vote no to giving x-rays. You're the mom and you have to do what's best for your baby, so your employer should be sympathetic to the situation, especially since it's only a few more weeks! Congratulations :o)

OSHA should have rules about pregnant women and dental x-rays, check with them first. If you are worried, talk with your employer about it, avoiding the x-rays won't hurt but taking them may. Good luck.

Generally pregnant women are not advised to preform x-rays as part of their job. Check out your local health and safety, workplace safety, or whatever regulatory body covers this kind of thing in your area.

no no no ... my son was 14 months and very sick.. I was 34 weeks along and they made me leave the room.. If your ever in the hospital and need x-rays, they always ask if your pregnant.. Because it can harm the baby... Please quit now for the sake of your baby.. Congrats and good luck

No, and the dentist you work for should know that and have someone else in the office doing it until your baby is born.

I don't think that its a good idea. You should ask you DR and see what he/she thinks but if you are being exposed to that much, I think that its a bad idea.
