I had an ultrasound this past tuesday due to a fall that I had. My OB wanted to make sure everything was ok. I feel like I am farther than my OB thinks, but I was unable to get a measurement during the ultrasound. It was a quick 5 min thing to make sure the heart was still beating. Well, it was beating at 180. Is this normal for 11 weeks? What is the average heartbeat for a baby at this stage?

I was able to hear the heartbeat with a doppler just before 9 weeks.

Most people say 120-160 is normal but the smaller the fetus the faster the heartbeat. Anywhere up to nearly 200 is normal in such a young fetus.

Anywhere from 160-180 is considered to be normal at that stage. It will slow down as your pregnancy progresses, but my baby's heart was at 170 at 11.5 weeks.

normal range is 120 to 160 beats/min
and smaller the foetus more the beats
at this point of time you need not to worry about FHS
